With the launch of Expogroup's India Branch and in line with India's export drive, Expogroup presents yet another exciting export opportunity for Indian Exporters to explore the vast and virgin East African Market. The event titled " EXPO INDIA 2010 " will present products, equipment and machinery manufactured and exported by India in 9 categories. An agressive campaign has been launched using all relevant media and trade visitors from all over East & Central African countries are being invited dirtectly and in collaboration with several regional trade bodies in Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Somalia, Mozambique & Zaire. Though Tanzania by itself is one of the biggest markets in Africa, major emphasis is being laid upon attracting traders and importers from neighbouring countries.
Why Tanzania : With its own population of 34 million approx., Tanzania also caters to the regional East African market of over 350 million consumers. In simple words, it is the largest importer and re-exporters of goods to neighboring African countries. This is mainly due to Tanzania's geographic location on the East Coast with a well facilitated sea port in Mombasa. Read more about Tanzania and the event statistics in pages linked with the words. Another important factor is the presence of a large Indian origin population in the region which further adds to the acceptance of Indian goods in the market.
